About Reality House Inc.Established in 1967, Reality House, Inc. is a community based Not-For-Profit OASAS (Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services) certified medically supervised outpatient chemical dependency treatment facility that provided culturally-appropriate substance abuse and HIV treatment and prevention services to New Yorkers living primarily in Astoria Queens, but also serve clients in all five Boroughs. Reality House, Inc. also effectively treats and services veterans, their families, and communities along the lines of cultural competence and social justice.
The new Reality House, Inc. facilities consists of a 30 bed veterans residence and a medically supervised outpatient chemical dependency treatment program for the general population as well as veterans.
Reality House offers group and individual substance abuse treatment, vocational rehabilitative services including Guidance in career planning, job placement, GED preparation courses, parenting skills training as well as we cater to our veterans with serious conditions such as Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). |
